Indoor Goods for Outdoor People - How Stokecraft was Born
You know the feeling when you first walk into your house after a long trip, a big hike, or a couple days in the wilderness? Or the feeling of meticulously laying out your gear, sitting on your couch, and planning the final details of your next dream adventure? That feeling is Stokecraft.
Stokecraft honors and celebrates the home life of an outdoor adventurer. Whether it's creating high-quality gear organization solutions that fit beautifully and seamlessly into your home, or apparel that somehow tells the story of your outdoor adventures without having to say a word.
We aren’t just creating high-quality home goods made especially for outdoor people. We’re creating a community of people who all understand the same thing. The best part of any adventure is coming home.
The Stokecraft Team
Maggie Jo is the founder, head woodworker and creative leader of Stokecraft. Maggie Jo’s passion for woodworking goes back generations. Her great-grandfather, grandfather, and father were all passionate woodworkers and carpenters. Her skills as a furniture maker really took off while studying woodworking and furniture design in college. Maggie Jo's furniture pieces have found homes all across the United States, won international awards, and even earned a place in the permanent collection at the Museum of Wisconsin Art.
Outside of the woodshop is where Maggie Jo finds her happiest self. Whether she's backpacking, bike touring, skiing, climbing, ice climbing, or sleeping in the back of her Tacoma, she's always chasing fresh air, a good view, and a couple of good buddies.
For years, Maggie Jo felt a divide between selling high-end furniture during the week and being an outdoor dirtbag on the weekends. It wasn't until Stokecraft that she finally found a way to bring those two worlds together. Indoor goods for outdoor people.
Today, she's still designing and building with the same attention to detail, but now she's making products inspired by the places she loves most. When she's not in the shop, you'll probably find her outside getting after it and dreaming up the next idea.
Stokecraft’s back office is managed by Alicia, a former corporate product manager turned adventure-loving entrepreneur. She manages Stokecraft’s operations and finances from her Sprinter van, traveling up and down the west coast of the U.S. With a background in pottery and an MBA from NYU, she brings both a love of the outdoors and a well-organized spreadsheet to Stokecraft. When not helping bring Stokecraft’s visions to life, she’s watching ultra, kayaking, knitting and catching as many WNBA games as she can.

We’re on a first name basis with our manufacturing partners - we strive to create something that feels great in your hands, reminds you of your adventures and can’t be found anywhere else.
All Stokecraft wood products are hand-finished in our Chicago-based woodshop. We package all Stokecraft products personally, ensuring a commitment to quality and attention. Sending a gift? Celebrating a special occasion? Let us know when you order - Stokecraft is a community and we want to know you and your story!
Our wood
We source premium hardwood and plywood from the US, primarily from forests in Minnesota and Iowa. We work closely with a family-owned, Iowa-based woodshop to bring our customers exceptional quality at scale.
Use of AI
Stokecraft does not use AI for any of its creative designs or decision making. When you buy a Stokecraft product, you’re getting something perfected by the knowledge of committed craftspeople. From our personally designed labels stitched into the corners of our shirts to the seasonal graphics inspired by our adventures out in nature, everything we offer is original.
Care, Maintenance & Installation
Care
Our hardwood products are built to last. To keep them looking their best, simply dust occasionally with a soft, dry cloth and wipe away spills promptly. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme humidity to preserve the natural beauty of the wood and finish.
Installation
All Stokecraft wood furnishings come with all the necessary hardware for installation, as well as detailed instructions for how to safely install your new home decor. Got any questions? Email us at info@stokecraftco.com and we’re happy to walk you through the steps!
Products
Sold Out
What can we say - people love Stokecraft! Occasionally, Stokecraft products sell out. For permanent parts of our collection, we do our best to keep items in stock. If we’re sold out - check back here or on our Instagram. For seasonal drops, get ‘em while they last!
Pre-Sale
We frequently offer new products on pre-sale. When you order pre-sale, expect a short delay in delivery. We’ll always share how long you should expect to wait with each pre-sale launch - times may vary. Need something immediately? Shop our permanent collection or wait for our new releases become available for regular sale.
Hat Racks
Stokecraft’s signature hat racks store up to 10 baseball caps. Simply fold the cap towards the bill and slide it into the slot. The hat should sit snuggly. Step back and admire all of your hats!
Gear Wall
Stokecraft’s gear walls come with three shelves and twelve pegs, allowing for the dynamic storage of all your outdoor gear. The pegs and shelves can be easily removed and rearranged depending on your storage needs. Mountain biking, paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, trail running, car camping, fly fishing, field hockey, pickleball, disc golf, archery - whatever your thing is, our gear wall can help you organize whatever stuff you need to make your adventure happen. Need storage inspiration? Check out Stokecraft’s instagram to see all the ways we use our gear wall!

Stokecraft is happy to exchange orders that arrive damaged. Our wood furnishings are made from solid materials and occasionally, because of weather and humidity, crack or break in transit. We’re always happy to make it right and send you new furnishings free of charge. At this time, we do not accept returns.
Wholesaling
We're always looking to partner with retailers who believe that the gear and stories we collect deserve a place to be displayed with pride.
